‘HCT Co., Ltd.’ (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) values customers’ personal information and complies with the “Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.”
Through this Privacy Policy, the Company informs you of the purposes and methods of using the personal information you provide and the measures taken to protect your personal information.
If the Company amends the Privacy Policy, it will notify you via website announcements (or individual notifications).
ο This policy has been in effect since: January 1, 2016.
The Company collects the following personal information for purposes such as membership registration, consultation, and service application.
ο Items collected: Name, Email address, Company name, Contact number, Address
ο Collection methods: Website (quotation request, mailing request boards), and information generated by collection tools
The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes:
ο To collect information for sending newsletters and quotations.
In principle, once the purpose of collection and use of personal information has been achieved, the Company will immediately destroy such information. However, the following information will be retained for the specified period due to the reasons stated below.
- Items retained: Name, Contact number, Company name, Address, Email address
- Reason for retention: To prevent re-registration within a certain period after membership withdrawal
- Retention period: 1 month
In addition, when it is necessary to retain information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, the Company will keep member information for the legally prescribed period as follows:
- Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscriptions: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
- Records on payment of fees and supply of goods, etc.: 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.)
In principle, once the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved, the Company will destroy the information without delay. The destruction procedures and methods are as follows:
ο Destruction Procedure
The information entered by members for purposes such as registration will be transferred to a separate database (or stored separately in case of paper documents) once the purpose is achieved. It will then be retained for a certain period of time in accordance with internal policies and relevant laws (see Retention and Use Period) before being destroyed.
Personal information transferred to a separate database will not be used for any purpose other than retention, unless required by law.
ο Destruction Method
- Personal information stored in electronic file format will be deleted using technical methods that make the records irrecoverable.
The Company, in principle, does not provide users’ personal information to external parties. Exceptions may apply in the following cases:
- If the user has given prior consent
- If required by law, or requested by investigative authorities in accordance with legal procedures and methods
The Company does not outsource personal information processing.
Users and legal representatives may view or modify their registered personal information or that of children under the age of 14 at any time, and may also request withdrawal of membership.
To view or modify personal information, click ‘Change Personal Information’ (or ‘Edit Member Information’). To withdraw consent (membership withdrawal), click “Withdraw Membership” and go through the identity verification process to directly access, correct, or delete the information. Alternatively, contact the Personal Information Manager in writing, by phone, or by email, and we will promptly take action.
If you request correction of errors in your personal information, the Company will not use or provide such information until the correction has been completed. If incorrect personal information has already been provided to a third party, the Company will notify the third party of the correction without delay so that it can be applied.
The Company handles personal information deleted or terminated at the request of users or legal representatives in accordance with “Retention and Use Period of Personal Information” and ensures that such information cannot be viewed or used for any other purpose.
The Company uses cookies and similar technologies to frequently store and retrieve user information. A cookie is a small text file sent by the Company’s server to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard disk. The Company uses cookies for the following purposes:

- To analyze access frequency and visit times of members and non-members, identify users’ preferences and interests, track behavior, analyze participation in various events and number of visits, and provide targeted marketing, personalized services, and board post registration.
You have the option to accept or refuse cookies. Accordingly, you may set your web browser to allow all cookies, to confirm each time a cookie is saved, or to refuse all cookies.
